Escape to NYC

-Pictures above were taken from Central Park and the last from the Staten Island Ferry-

I wish, I wish and I wish that I could turned back time and be in nyc. I now regret every moment for not obtaining a job, any job, and find an apartment and being a stronger person to find a position over there. I was there for almost 6 months and I dint find anyting. In fact, I think I set my self up on purpose to not be in this country because I wanted to go home. I should have known better. I missed many opportunities to get my foot in the door of employment.
Why din't I volunteer when I was in nyc? I wasted all those times being depressed, even in NYC I was depressed. I was ungrateful. I am so mad now because I regret every second of my life for not doing the best and gave up while I was there.
BUT I know I shouldnt.

I love the 24/7 vibrant lights colored the sky of Manhattan, the hustle and bustle of cars and trains and people, the train rides that takes me every where I want to go, sitting or standing in the cable car while reading my books or my magazines. I finished a book every few days. I love the unique people I see on the street, or the fact that mexicans think I am mexican (I always get annoyed but I truely missed this), I love Union Square where I would first go to DSW Shoe store and then walk across to the 3 STory Barnes & Nobles, sitting there with my Grande White Mocha, HOT mind you, and grasping a new national best seller book. By Dinner time, my friends will join me. We will be contemplating on the dirty street of new york, thinking where we should go for food.

I miss Central Park. The park for every person, every age and every thing to do. Read, chillax, riding, blading, running, tanning, drinking!! OR just sit there watching people watched other people. I rode a bike there once, and it aint pretty. Believe it or not, I don't really know how to ride a bike so I yelped the second I thought I was going to knock over the emergency baracade. Pretty emberassing. My front wheel hit the side of the baracade and BAM a loud noise came around and people just turned and stared. OH WeeLLLlll....over the summer I went to central park for almost everyday.

I Miss Columbus Circle, the entrance to Central Park. I had sat there once and just started sketching the buildings that surrounded the circle. I remember seeing the CNN tower from there. Exactly at 6.10pm on Sept 15th. It was still daylight.

SIGhhHHhh... missingg the streets of SOHO, eventhough I couldnt afford anything. Missed the nasty subways, eventhough the first time I got to nyc, I was insecure without my car. I hated the subway and now, I cant think of driving!

Lesson learn- wear flats, or you wont survive walking on the streets of NY. It Was a vivid dream of 6 months in NYC. HmMMmm..I need to start writing on my trip/experience to NYC. Well all I hope is for a fourth chance! Yes a fourth chance to be there maybe in the coming years. I dont know how I will pull it off but I am hoping for some miracle. Been there three times now just this year alone. Its a place where I will settle down and never leave.

In February, first timer taking the Staten Island Ferry, I believed crossing the Hudson River, where the route passes the Statue of Liberty. I braved the cold and the wind to take a damn picture outside! I survived on my work trip, from Upper West Side--> Brooklyn--> Staten Island, I was stoak with my survival of taking the subways since I despised it so much the first time!

WIth My dear bigs, Iris and KIm who introduced me to Pinkberry and I am heads over heels for their fake FRO-GURT (Frozen Yogurt). I love em to bits.

With my Dearest friends on Shannon's Party at Fat Black Pussy CAT. Yeap thats the name of the lounge, the night before the arrival of my brother to nyc.

Hafiz, who was nice enough to help me find my ways to meet up with my crazy, maxed-out-adrenaline-temporary landlord on the Upper East Side (90th and 3rd). We decided to cross the central park to get to the west side since it was my first time experiencing central park. the backdrop is mid-town manhattan. Since we were struggling with the camera, a guy who was running opted to take our picture. :) All i need to do now is find those brown boots, I lost em!

My Brother's visit, after securing the Upper East Side Apartment for him and Yatie. I missed them. It was fun!

Oh I Have no idea what my brother was trying to accomplish here in front of MSG!

At Lincoln Center ( about 62nd St West) for GISELLE by American Ballet Theatre. the Theatre is absolutely gorgeous, and I truely wish my mother was there. She would enjoy it so very much!

See I told ya all you can do is chill at Central Park. I was just laying down on the rock, thinking and pondering away....

UNBELIEVABLE. After not making it for the WoodBury COmmons Outlet Mall trip. I was in a foul mood. I was adamant to go to Steve Madden Store down Union Square as an alternative. I just had the urge to shop for shoes. It was late but I was so convinced that I needed to buy shoes right now right here. SO, when I got to Union Square, the most unbelievable thing happened. There was a fire! A FIRE at the corner of the building that Steve Madden store is situated. Oh HELLL NOO!! I was on the verge of crying, and of course the store was closed since there was a fire.**sigh** but it was exciting though, to watch the firefighters work, bursting through the windows on the second floor, bracing themselves into the hot flames.

Well, Here is the Fourth of JULY Macy's Fireworks at the pier around 38th street. It was crowded but beautiful!

FAIL! What a failure to the night of meteor shower. We were up on the roof top of I-House waiting and waiting for the shower, but as beatiful as the ny skyline is, it is highly polluted. Look at the lights that glows beyond the sky...Plus it doesn't help that it was cloudy and rizzling. Oh well, we tried, but I had a glimpse of ONE SHOOTING STAR!! Woot WOoot!! The last photograph is a picture of the oh so famous George Washington Bridge crossing the Hudson river. Oh How I miss the concrete old-red bricks of NY!

The day before I left NYC, I went all out...to MSG for a Britney's concert. Met up with Kim and Iris, it was so much fun. IRIS SANG TO EVERY SONG OF HERS! lol..we dance, we ate hot dogs, Nyummie! Seriously, she is an entertainer. Excellent performer regardless of what people say about her. I never get it why Madonna is so famous because her songs suck, but now I know why, just because she is a superb performer on the stage. Back to Britney. She had great outfits, she makes it seems like Halloween, and the theme of her concert is CIRCUS, which makes her concert even greater because there were many tricks and crazy acrobatic jumps here and there. Jordin Sparks and two other people I cant recall did the opening act. Going to the concert makes me feel like a kid, like a tween again, and I just loved that feeling. :)

OMW to MSG from 125th St.

Well thats how I wrapped up half a year of 2009. In NYC in August. :) I miss it..so much!
