love at first sight

**Burn Baby Burn**

If there is such thing as love at first sight, then I wud have been in love many many times, at the grocery stores, gas stations, clubs, bars. and wud have been married many many many times. Can you imagine beeing married to multiple partners, but with no sense of commitment. when you are bored you can just pick up and leave to find a new partner? That would be fun, and that sure as hell will prevent a lot of heartbreaking, hurtful and sadness emotions. WOuldn't it be great?but alas, that is not how love or the world works..actually thats not how people work.

I believe in attractions, love?? not so much. I believe that love comes as you build a relationship with your significant other. I believe that love comes after the commitment starts, when both wants the same thing, which is to settle down (basically tied down) and spend the rest of your lifetime together. But at the starting point of you and him/her together?.... its all about the physical attraction.

I don't believe in soulmates..what da hell does soulmate means anyways? Oprah once said, that everyone has a soulmate, regardless your soulmate is a man or a woman, and she said that maybe you have met urs, but that does not mean that you will end up together. A guy might have a guy soulmate, which is your best guy friend, or a gurl might have a girl soulmate, who is your best girl friend. So what is a soulmate?

Strip all the terms regarding love, it will all boils down to what you need/want from another person. Once your needs are fulfilled, be it sexually, emotionally or even just for the companionship, thats when you will be like, shit what do I do now, I am not IN LOVE with her/him anymore. There will be fights and arguments, which is just an excuse I say to give you a reason to leave your partner. Then you see the divorce rates shooting up..why do you think thats happening, especially right now? because we are more liberal, there are more freedom, and most of all, we all think there is always out there better for us waiting to be discovered.

I think people are just confused with the term love and with our human nature of needing a companion, that's all.
